Nails & lashes
Gel, extensions, manicure, lash lift
In short
Nails and lashes are the two appointments clients repeat most. At Patong and Kathu we do gel colour, extensions, nail art, manicure and pedicure, plus lash extensions, lash lifting and brow lamination. Most appointments take one to two hours and can be combined in a single visit.

Who it is for
A good fit if
- You want colour that survives a beach holiday
- Short or weak natural nails you want lengthened
- Sparse or straight lashes that disappear without mascara
- You would rather not wear eye makeup at all
Talk to us first if
- Nail fungus, lifting nail plates or broken skin around the nail
- Eye infection, stye or very recent eye surgery (lashes)
- You are having permanent eyeliner within two weeks
- Known adhesive or acrylate allergy — tell us before booking
How the appointment works
Prep
Tools are opened in front of you. Nail plates are shaped dry; lash line is cleansed and the lower lashes taped down.
10–15 minBuild
Gel is applied in thin layers and cured; lashes are isolated one at a time so natural lashes are never glued together.
45–90 minFinish and check
Cuticle line is checked for lifting; lashes are combed and separated with your eyes open.
10 minCare briefing
You leave knowing when to come back and what will shorten the wear.

Lash lift vs lash extensions
| Lash lift | Lash extensions | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Curls your own lashes upward | Adds length and volume with attached lashes |
| Lasts | 6–8 weeks, no refill needed | 2–4 weeks between refills |
| Upkeep | Almost none; mascara is fine | Daily cleaning, no oil, no curler |
| Best for | Decent natural lashes that point straight down | Sparse lashes, or you want a visible change |
Aftercare
- Lashes: keep dry for 24 hours, then clean daily with lash foam
- Lashes: no oil-based cleanser, no waterproof mascara, no curlers
- Nails: wear gloves for cleaning and dishwashing
- Nails: never peel gel off — book a removal instead
- Both: come back for a refill rather than letting the work grow out
Frequently asked questions
How long do lash extensions last?
Two to four weeks depending on your natural lash cycle. Extensions fall with the natural lash they are attached to, so shedding a few each day is normal.
Will extensions damage my lashes?
Not when each extension is isolated onto one natural lash and the weight is matched to it. Damage comes from lashes glued in clumps, from extensions that are too heavy, and from clients pulling them off.
Can I swim with gel nails?
Yes. Salt water and chlorine dull the top coat over time but will not lift a properly prepped gel.
Do you remove work done elsewhere?
Yes, for both nails and lashes. Removal is booked as its own slot because it takes time to do without damage.
Can I have nails and lashes in the same visit?
Yes — lashes first while you lie down, then nails. Tell the branch when you book so enough time is reserved.
What if a nail breaks or a lash sticks out?
Come back within the first week and it is fixed. Message the branch on LINE with a photo first so the right amount of time is set aside.
