Permanent brows
Microblading, hair stroke, shading and combo
In short
Permanent brows redraw the shape and fill the gaps so you stop penciling every morning. At our Patong and Kathu branches we work hair stroke, powder shading and combination brows, matched to your bone structure and skin type. Colour settles over 7–14 days and is finished at a retouch four to eight weeks later.

Who it is for
A good fit if
- Sparse, patchy or over-plucked brows
- Asymmetric brows you fight with a pencil every day
- Active lifestyle — swimming, gym, humid weather
- You want a shape that suits your face rather than a trend shape
Talk to us first if
- Very oily skin wanting crisp hair strokes — shading holds better
- Keloid-prone skin or active eczema or psoriasis on the brow
- Recent brow area filler, botox or chemical peel
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding or ongoing cancer treatment
How the appointment works
Mapping
Brow position is measured against your bone structure and drawn on with pencil, both sides compared in the mirror before anything is permanent.
25 minTechnique and colour
Hair stroke, shading or combination is chosen from your skin type — oily skin blurs fine strokes, so shading is often the honest recommendation.
15 minFirst pass
Pigment is worked in following your natural hair direction, checked against the drawn shape.
45–60 minSecond pass and balance
Depth is built up where the skin takes less pigment and both brows are balanced sitting up, not lying down.
30–40 minRetouch at 4–8 weeks
The healed result is assessed and gaps are filled. Brow work is only finished after this second visit.
60–90 min
Hair stroke vs powder shading
| Hair stroke | Powder shading | |
|---|---|---|
| Look | Individual strokes imitating brow hairs | Soft gradient, like brow powder |
| Best for | Normal to dry skin with some existing hair | Oily skin, large pores, sparse brows |
| How it fades | Strokes soften and can blur on oily skin | Fades evenly and stays readable |
| Retouch | Usually every 12 months | Usually every 18–24 months |
Combination brows use strokes at the front and shading through the body — the usual choice for clients who want definition without a solid block of colour.
Aftercare
- Blot with a clean tissue for the first few hours as lymph appears
- Wash gently from day two with fingertips, no cloths or brushes
- Thin balm twice a day; never let the brows dry out and crack
- No makeup, sun beds, sauna or swimming for 14 days
- Flaking is normal — pulling a flake pulls the pigment out with it
Frequently asked questions
Is microblading the same as hair stroke?
Microblading is hair stroke work done by hand with a blade. The same look can be created by machine, which is gentler on oily and mature skin. We choose the tool from your skin, not from the trend name.
How many sessions do I need?
Two: the first appointment and a retouch four to eight weeks later. Very oily skin, previous work or scar tissue occasionally needs a third session, which we tell you about at consultation, not afterwards.
Can I still pluck and wax my brows?
Yes, outside the drawn shape, once healed. Keep the tail and the outline as designed and only remove strays underneath.
What if I do not like the shape?
The shape is drawn on with pencil before pigment and adjusted as many times as you need. We do not start until you say yes in the mirror.
Will old faded microblading show through?
Old pigment sits under the new work and can pull the colour warm or grey. Bring photos or come for a look; sometimes lightening first gives a much better result than covering.
Do brows suit men?
Yes. Male brows are mapped flatter and less arched, with lower pigment density so the result reads as hair, not makeup.
Can I fly home the next day?
Yes. Cabin air is drying, so take the balm in your hand luggage and avoid the pool on the first days of the trip home.
How much does it cost?
Price depends on the technique, the condition of the existing brows and whether correction work is involved, so it is quoted after the consultation. Ask on LINE and the branch will give you the current range.
