Lip tint

Colour, definition and even tone

In short

Lip tint puts soft colour back into the lips and evens out dark or patchy tone. At our Patong and Kathu branches we tint full lips or lip line and blush, matched to your natural tone. Lips heal in five to seven days and the final shade appears after about a month, once the surface colour has settled.

Who it is for

A good fit if

  • Naturally pale lips, or dark and uneven lip tone
  • A lip line that has lost definition
  • You wear lipstick daily and want the base colour built in
  • Asymmetry you would like softened, within reason

Talk to us first if

  • You get cold sores — antiviral medication is needed beforehand
  • You had lip filler in the last 4 weeks
  • Very dry, cracked or sunburnt lips on the day
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

How the appointment works

  1. Tone matching

Your natural lip tone decides the pigment. Dark lips need a neutralising base first, which we explain before, not during.

    20 min
  2. Outline

The lip line is drawn and checked from the front and both sides for symmetry before numbing.

    15 min
  3. Colour work

Pigment is layered across the lip body, keeping the border soft so it reads as your lip, not a drawn edge.

    60–75 min
  4. Healing check

You go home with balm and instructions. Lips look intense for two days, then lift and lighten by around half.

  5. Retouch at 6–8 weeks

Lips take pigment unevenly, so the second session is where the colour is evened and deepened.

    60–75 min

Aftercare

  • Keep lips coated in balm at all times for 7 days — dry lips heal patchy
  • Drink through a straw and avoid spicy, salty and very hot food for 3 days
  • No exfoliating, scrubbing or picking flakes
  • Cold sore sufferers: take the antiviral as prescribed before and after
  • Expect the colour to look 50% lighter by day seven, then deepen again

Frequently asked questions

Will it look like lipstick?

No. Healed lip tint reads as your own lip colour, a shade or two brighter. Lipstick still sits on top and looks richer.

My lips are dark. Can they be lighter?

Dark lips can be evened and warmed, but they cannot be bleached. Neutralising takes two or three sessions and the honest result is a warmer, more even tone, not a pink transformation.

How swollen will I be?

Visibly swollen for a day, mostly settled by 48 hours. Plan the appointment two days before an event, not the day before.

Can I do lips and brows on the same day?

It is possible but long — four to five hours in the chair, and two areas healing at once. Most clients split them across two visits, which also gives better healing.

What if I have lip filler?

Wait four weeks after filler before tinting, and four weeks after tinting before more filler. Tell us either way so the shape is mapped to settled lips.

Does it hurt more than brows?

Yes, lips are more sensitive, but numbing works well on them. Most clients describe pressure and vibration rather than sharp pain.

When can I wear lipstick again?

After the flaking finishes, usually day seven to ten. Use a clean applicator on the healing skin.

How much does it cost?

Quoted after consultation, because neutralising dark lips takes more time and more sessions than a straightforward tint. Ask the branch on LINE for the current range.
