Lip tint

Colour theory and lip technique

In short

The lip course is mostly colour: reading a client’s natural lip tone, neutralising darkness, and predicting how a pigment heals. Technique is taught alongside it, then practised on models under supervision.

Frequently asked questions

Is lip work harder than brows?

Different rather than harder. Lips move, bleed more and heal unpredictably, so colour judgement matters more than line work.

Do I need to take the brow course first?

No, but students with brow experience move faster because needle depth and pressure are already familiar.

Who are the models?

Arranged by the academy, briefed in advance and consented in writing. You are supervised throughout the model session.

What if my model has very dark lips?

That is the useful case to learn on. You are taught to set expectations and plan two or three sessions instead of promising one.

How long until I can charge clients?

Most graduates practise on a small number of supervised or discounted cases before charging full price. The academy is honest with you about when your work is ready.
